While we break our fast in comfort, some families are breaking theirs with nothing.
This Ramadan, I’ll be travelling to Cambodia with AusRelief to stand beside families who are struggling for the basics many of us don’t even think twice about such as food, clean water, safety and education.
I’ve been volunteering for over 15 years, and no matter how many missions I take part in, it never gets easier seeing children who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, or mothers trying to stay strong for their families with almost nothing.
This year, I’m aiming to raise $30,000 to support vital humanitarian projects such as food aid, clean water, education, emergency relief, and long-term development initiatives that restore dignity and create lasting change.
AusRelief is also serving communities in Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, across Africa and Asia.
Ramadan is more than fasting.
It’s empathy.
It’s action.
It’s showing up for those who need us most.
I’ll be there personally, witnessing exactly where your donations go, seeing the tears of relief, the smiles of children, and the impact your generosity makes on the ground.
If you’re able to give even something small, please know it truly matters. It could be the reason a family eats. It could be the reason a child has hope.
May Allah accept from all of us, multiply your generosity, and make it a source of ongoing reward. 🤲
