I dream of a world where we live as one.
A world where we want for our neighbour what we want for ourselves.
Where we give from a place of pure love, without expectation,
simply to serve God through our community.
In Indonesia, I randomly met a homeless man sleeping on the beach.
Through God’s infinite beauty, I was given the opportunity to offer him shelter, food, and support.
But what touched us both most deeply was not the help itself. It was the feeling of oneness,
shared presence, compassion, and a genuine meeting of hearts.
When I returned to Australia, I learned that he had used some of the money he received to buy motorbikes, recruit and train others experiencing homelessness to repair and sell them for a profit, dividing the proceeds amongst themselves. He was also scouting areas where others were homeless and bringing them food.
It was then that I realised there was nothing random about this encounter. It was all God.
This is my first time stepping into this kind of work, but I feel deeply called to help change the lives of those experiencing homelessness. I want to offer opportunities to work, to grow, and to rediscover purpose so they, too, can give back and support others.
I want to show the beauty of togetherness. A world where we uplift one another and use the resources we have for the greater good. To share our resources God-consciously, from the inner centres of the heart, and see the beauty that unfolds when love leads.
Together, we can turn one act of kindness into a ripple that transforms entire communities.
