It’s that time of year again. This Ramadan, I will be travelling to Cambodia with AusRelief as part of their annual humanitarian mission, working directly with communities facing significant hardship. During the final ten nights, I’ll be on the ground supporting aid distribution and community initiatives, witnessing firsthand the impact that collective generosity can create.
As part of this journey, I am committed to raising $20,000 to support AusRelief’s global humanitarian projects, including zakat and sadaqah initiatives. Ramadan is a month centred on compassion, gratitude, and service — a time that reminds us of our responsibility to uplift those who are struggling. This fundraiser is an opportunity for us to turn that intention into meaningful action.
The funds raised will contribute to a range of vital projects including emergency relief, food aid, clean water access, international development, empowerment programs, education initiatives, and the ongoing operational support required to sustain these efforts. These projects are carefully planned to ensure both immediate assistance and long-term impact for vulnerable families and communities.
One of the reasons I continue to support AusRelief year after year is their commitment to transparency and sustainable change. They maintain strong, trusted relationships with local partners on the ground, allowing them to understand exactly what is needed in each community. This direct engagement ensures that funds are allocated effectively and responsibly, maximising real outcomes rather than temporary relief alone.
Your support — whether large or small — plays a direct role in providing food to families, access to clean water, educational opportunities for children, and dignity to those facing hardship. Together, we can help build pathways to stability and hope.
Thank you for standing with me in this mission and for being part of something that extends far beyond one trip.
