LEBANON IS RUNNING OUT OF BREATH
As Lebanon's health sector struggles with soaring covid cases, it is facing another crisis: a shortage of oxygen.
With over 400,000 cases, hospitals are buckling under the weight of patients affected by COVID-19.
Patients are being treated in car parks of local public hospitals and makeshift clinic in local community centres, churches & mosques.
Many are left to manage to survive on their own as people are being urged to treat themselves at home.
However sourcing oxygen concentrators and tanks has become increasingly difficult.
These devices are in high demand, with sales surging as public fear increases.
Many have purchased these devices despite needing them, making it more difficult to source for those in desperate need.
The devaluation of the Lebanese lira has made these machines extremely expensive.
People have to decide between oxygen and food, as many can barely afford to feed their families as it is.
HELP LEBANON BREATHE
We have moved quickly to secure oxygen machines & develop a team of health professionals in Lebanon to identify those most in need.
Our team is working with the local pharmacists & doctors to distribute our devices to those suffering & recovering at home.
Patients will be able to use these devices as long as they need.
When they no longer require it, our team takes the device back, disinfects it & prepares it to be provided to another patient.
Help Lebanon breathe and support their recovery by donating today.
