There are currently 3,500 Syrians living in very challenging circumstances and conditions, further exacerbated by the recent earthquakes. With no access to government and other international support systems, AusRelief has been the sole provider of sustenance since the camp's inception.
The recent earthquake has seen the population explode and with this influx of Syrian refugees, there is now significant budget constraints to overcome to ensure no body sleeps hungry.
In the days leading to Ramadan, in my visit to the camp, I asked a simple question, "What do you hope for?"
The surprising answers were "To feed our families chicken and meat again."
Help me restore hope.. by providing 3,500 Syrians with hot meals with meat and chicken in the last 10 nights of Ramadan.
Every amount above the target means more meals for these families.
