For a subject called CAS at school we have to focus on completing an act of service as a group. A group of students from our school plan to support a lack of resources, inadequate facilities, and limited access to books and other educational materials Cambodian families face. As part of our efforts to help address this issue, the group will launch a book drive to collect books that are no longer being used by students at our school. The books will be sold and the money gathered will be donated to AusRelief. This will allow them to run a program which will support and enhance the Cambodian children’s education, giving children who may not have access to such resources the opportunity to learn and grow. The program is an education initiative in Cambodia run by AusRelief at their very own community development centre. They run classes for underprivileged children as well as their mothers. These classes teach children how to read and write and learn how to use computers and teach the women skills that they can use to start their own businesses in order to be financially independent. We hope you are to donate to support this endearing cause!
