Honouring the memory of a loved one is a beautiful way to keep their spirit alive. In memory of my dear brother Fawzi, who passed away at the young age of 26, I am holding a fundraiser to raise funds for the Tripoli Kitchen appeal.
Fawzi was a kind, loving, and charitable man who would always lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved Lebanon, where he grew up, and always dreamed of going back to give back to his community.
The Tripoli Kitchen appeal is close to Fawzi's heart because it provides hot meals to Tripolians in need. In these challenging times, many families are struggling to put food on the table, and this appeal ensures that no one goes hungry. By donating to this appeal, we can help fulfill Fawzi's dream of giving back to his community and provide much-needed support to those in need.
It's important to recognise the significance of sadaqa, or charitable giving, to a dead person. In Islam, sadaqa is a way to benefit both the living and the deceased. When we give in memory of our loved ones, we not only help those in need, but we also honour the memory of our loved ones and benefit them in the afterlife. Our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for him."
I appreciate any contribution, big or small, to honour Fawzi's memory. Your donation will make a significant impact on the lives of those in need and keep Fawzi's spirit of kindness and charity alive. Thank you for your support.
