Over 10,000 people have been killed in Gaza size October 7 - 40% of them are children.
1.3 million people are now displaced, without shelter, food or medical necessities. Humanitarian aid will be required for years to come and with the assistance of AusRelief we can help make this happen. As AusRelief has been in Gaza for over 5 years, it has a well established network of government and field hospitals as well as international cooperative hospitals (Turkish, Indonesian) and medical organisations (Doctors Worldwide). AusRelief engages a medical trauma team who not only respond to injuries and provide surgeries, but also provide medical supplies to hospitals and manage food aid distribution to the community.
With over 50% of infrastructure destroyed and over 1 million people displaced, the dependence on aid for survival will continue for generations to come. While we focus on immediate relief, AusRelief is also strategically planning for years to come, including setting up medical facilities, resettlement options and projects for food & water security and orphan support.
