AusRelief Red Sock Walk for Kidney Health

Raised of $5,000.00
This fundraiser started at 11:21 AM, 21st October AEDT and will end at 12:00 AM, 30th November AEDT

Kidney health is something very close to all at AusRelief. Two of AusRelief's dedicated volunteers are living with chronic kidney disease.

This October AusRelief volunteers, families and friends will be participating in the Red Socks Run to help fundraise and spread awareness on kidney health.

By running, walking or riding a collective 60km, we want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that kidney disease patients need to spend on dialysis each month. On average, 63 people die every day due to kidney related disease.

Please donate to our page to help raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to the families of the 63 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney related diseases.

All funds will go to Kidney Health Australia, who:

  • Provide support to people from rural areas undergoing kidney transplant
  • Run a mobile haemodialysis bus to allow people to travel
  • Run a helpline to provide free support to patients and carers
  • Help facilitate alternative dialysis centres across Australia and overseas
  • Run peer support clubs to connect people with shared experiences.

WE can make a difference – Join AusRelief and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.
